Ar.Kannan Gopalakrishnan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Anna University.  After his under graduation from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, in 2009 he was working at L&T Construction, India’s largest construction company until 2015. During this tenure he has worked in field of Architectural, master planning and corporate interior design projects.  He has worked on buildings ranging from Institutional buildings to International airports, Heritage hotels to Aircraft hangars. He has worked at projects all over India and Middle East, working with various high-profile clients like the Indian Air Force, Tata Group, Reliance Industries Ltd, CMRL, BIAL, Sultanate of  Oman, US Army Corps of Engineers, etc. He is  currently the founder of his own design studio, “Habitat Design Studio”, in which he handles architecture, interior and landscape design projects in South India. He  is also devotedly interested in product design and development, owns and runs a product design and manufacture start-up called “The Qwerky Store”. Research area during Bachelor’s degree was ‘Fractal Geometry in Architecture’’. He has been a part of Department of Architecture since 2015. Apart from being in the design studios for 2nd year; he has also been associated with Rural, Construction and working drawing studios.





Ar.Karthikeyan Nachiappan holds a Master’s degree in Architecture (Housing & Urbanism) from Architectural Association, London.  After her under graduation from SRM University, Kattankulathur, he went on to pursue his master degree in 2012. During his post graduate program, he was on a tenure to work on MCMV (Minha Casa Minha Vida) housing policy program in Brazil and also involved in the London post Olympics redevelopment program with the London Legacy Redevelopment program as a part of academic program. Back in India, after working in M9 Associates and Studio D Cubed architects for 4 months respectively, he went on to initiate his conceptual firm – Studio of Architectural Urbanism (SAU). Now, SAU is a practice that works on residential & commercial interior and turnkey projects and is also closely working with the Southern Railways, MRTS and various trusts on social projects. Their latest design build prototype is a community learning centre @ Lattur panchayat, near Kalpakkam funded by ZRII trust.

Ar.Sandheep Ellangovan holds a Master’s degree in Architecture (Sustainability Environmental Design) from AA School of design (London).  After his under graduation from MEASI- Chennai in 2013, he was into architectural practice till 2014. During this tenure he has worked in field of Architectural majorly based on green design projects.  He has travelled in and around Singapore, Malaysia, and Dubai to comprehend their advancement in the science of sustainability architecture. He has also applied Soft computation techniques to understand the behavioural pattern of people in built environment. Back in India, started a start-up with young environmental analysts around Asia which help architects to understand and relationships of the proposed/ existing Design to its surroundings and its climate .Started his teaching career as Design mentor for PG programme in 2016. His research field is on “Psychological adaptation in outdoor and semi-outdoor spaces in hot and humid climates”. He is currently Sustainable Design consultant/ Architect at SES Design
